What is ONE VOICE?
ONE VOICE is a grass roots effort to unite to local church in the Temecula Valley for 3 purposes:
- To Celebrate what God is doing in our Valley
- To Pray together as the Church
- To Go back out into our Community as One
We do this all in the context of One Night of Worship, gathering local churches together to celebrate God through music, prayer, and stories of what God is doing in our Valley.
This August 15th will be the very first time we put on ONE VOICE, and already there are five local pastors participating, with nine worship leaders, and band members from five six seven churches. We’re very exited about this event and can’t wait to see how it will impact our Valley. Click here for more details on the event.
How can You Help?
- Pray. Please be in prayer for ONE VOICE. Pray specifically for our pastors, worship leaders, band members, tech members, hospitality teams, & publicity teams, as we prepare for this event. Pray also for unity in our local churches. Pray for healing of those who might be sick, lost, addicted, hopeless, or just in need of the presence of God in their lives. And pray for those in our Valley who are still seeking what God means to them. If you would like to partner with us, please leave a comment here.
- Participate. We’ve done our best at putting together some amazing worship (music, prayer, leadership). We have pastors, worship leaders, and musicians from a variety of local churches. There’s still room for people to join these teams: Hospitality (greeting, hosting, ushering). Tech (computer, audio, video, lighting). Prayer (praying before, during, and after the event). What’s in store for the Future?
We see ONE VOICE growing from a small grass roots event to an annual event for all local, Bible-based churches in the Temecula Valley. We’d love to see more and more churches get involved, and for this to be an event that encourages unity and celebration within the local church.
Why Worship?
Why not put more effort into reaching out to the community? Why not do something that invites the unchurched in the doors? Why not feed the poor and clothe the homeless? We understand, and respect those ideas. In fact many of the participating churches are already focusing a majority of their resources to do just those things. This event is designed to celebrate those efforts and to encourage churches to continue doing just those things and even more in our Valley.
Who’s behind all this?
We’re currently putting the leadership team together, but as of right now this idea was birthed through many years of conversation and prayer between some local pastors, worship leaders, and leaders in local Temecula Churches. Pastor Alex McLean from LifeChurch is currently spearheading the effort, along with Karl Verkade, Music Director at LifeChurch. We’ll introduce more of the team over the next couple days.
