ONE VOICE

Here’s a little video sneak peek. This is Paul from Tides Church leading “Salvation is Here” (the 3rd song of the night). The audio is a little distorted here and there, but we got it! Much thanks to Kevin McIntosh for editing this together. We’re working on putting the whole night together, stay tuned.

Last night, Friday, was simply amazing. Multiple churches gathered together singing in ONE VOICE to our God, about our God. Multiple pastors leading us in prayer as we lifted ONE VOICE of prayer to our God for our cities, for healing, for restoration, for revival.

We’ll have a more detailed wrap up of the event soon - everyone’s still resting up. It was a ton of work to pull it off, but SO worth it.

We’re gonna have a feedback form up soon as well. We’d love to hear ideas, what we could do better next time, what was missing, whatever.

But for today the question is, “Were you there?”. Here’s one email we received:

“Last night was a beautiful gift for my wife and I. It has been a long time since we were side by side for an extended time of worship and prayer, it was just what God ordered for us and I’m confidant he met the various needs of people through out entire night. God was in the details! I look forward to seeing what God does next.”

Stage is set. Lights are set. Band is rehearsed. Copies made. Media setup. Chairs rented. Teams in place.

God is present, like he always is.

Listen! It’s the voice of someone shouting,
“Clear the way through the wilderness for the Lord!
Make a straight highway through the wasteland for our God!”

Now we wait.

Wait to see what will happen.

We have a great crew who will be taking photos at One Voice from Impact Church. Micah and Erica Durham are killer photographers they are super passionate about their craft. They shot our staff photos this year and Erica cuts my hair too.

We also have our resident rocket scientist…no seriously he’s a rocket scientist…David Antila. David has mad skills in the photo department.

We’ll also be getting some good video footage.

As we are approaching ONE DAY things are buzzing! We’ve been working hard on scheduling, arranging, media, and lighting. We want this to be a the very best it can be, for the Glory of God and to encourage the church to continue reaching our Cities for Jesus Christ.

The set list is done. The evening is planned. Chairs have been rented. Extra screens & speaker setup. The band is prepared, the worship leaders are ready, and the pastors are in prayer. This is an exciting time in the Temecula Valley.

Check out this scripture that’s been in my heart over the past week:

17 “The poor and needy search for water, but there is none;
their tongues are parched with thirst.
But I the Lord will answer them;
I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.

18 I will make rivers flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys.
I will turn the desert into pools of water,
and the parched ground into springs.

19 I will put in the desert the cedar and the acacia, the myrtle and the olive.
I will set pines in the wasteland,
the fir and the cypress together,

20 so that people may see and know, may consider and understand,
that the hand of the Lord has done this,
that the Holy One of Israel has created it

Let that sink in… God brings life out of the desert.

And he does it so that people will see his love for us and his glory. Wow. Who is like our God?

This is truly an amazing thing. These churches represent over 2,000 people reached every weekend over the Temecula Valley! It’s going to be amazing to spend an evening of Celebration, Prayer, & Worship together as ONE church! Please remember to pray!

The little things are what get you. So we didn’t even really consider this, but now we have. Childcare will be provided and we’re hoping to pay some our our High Schoolers (who are extremely responsible) to hang out with the kids while we rock the house. So please communicate this with your church, and with people that you come in contact with.

I got to hang out with Craig, from Venture Church the other day and we’ve already begun formulating ideas for Kid’s Worship/Celebration at the next ONE VOICE - oh, that’s right, we’ll do it again, you can be sure of that! Well, that’s the plan anyway.

So bring the kids - we’ll take good care of them.

I thought I’d take a minute and introduce our Partner Churches. What is a “partner church”? All it really means is that they agree with the vision to bring the church together as ONE, to celebrate, pray, and be encouraged to continue reaching this area of California for Jesus. Here’s a list of churches who have partnered to make ONE VOICE happen (in no particular order):
